Winter did a number on my back patio but it’s time to get it ready for Spring! I have this corner that we’ve never really utilized and I’ve always wanted to spruce it up. Here’s what I’m working with.
First thing to do is power wash off all the slime, dirt, and pollen and get the space cleaned up. I’m obsessed with my power washer because it makes concrete, decks, fences, and even rugs clean again.
Next thing I wanted to do is define the space and make it feel cozy. I ordered the cutest $50 5×7 BHG rug! Tropical is my patio vibe since we have a pool and I loved how bright and bold this rug is. They have some cute neutral options I’ll link up as well.
Next thing I got was the egg chair I’ve been eyeing for years! Coming from someone who already owns multiple egg chairs, it’s the most affordable and comfy option out there. 🙌🏼 Wide enough to curl up in with pillows. It’s my new favorite spot to drink my coffee in the mornings and pina colada’s at night! 🧉 It was super easy to put together too.
The chair is made from a waterproof faux wicker material but I did a half umbrella against the house over the chair to block direct rain. Since the porch isn’t covered I also got an egg chair cover for when the weather is real bad. This will keep my cushions white and new.
I was originally going to hang the lantern from the wall but instead I zip tied it to the umbrella which was even easier. It’s not to heavy and I clipped the solar panel on top of the umbrella. It comes in two other styles which I’ll link too. It’s gorgeous at night and def sets the mood.
I get so much use out of my table top tiki torch. Fill with bite fighter fluid and it keeps all the bugs away. They also have the cutest planters available.
