$3 DIY Target Dollar Spot pillows

For this project, I used the 2 pack of bar towels($3 per pack) from the Target Dollar Spot and hot glued them together! No sewing required!

Fun fact: there’s another set of towels too. You could potentially have a set of 4 pillows if you grab those. Make sure you get the “Bar Towels” because they are the one that are square shaped and work the best.

Since I already had some tassels from Hobby Lobby and some Velcro, this DIY only cost me $6 total for both pillows AND they are reversible!!!! 🎃

HOT GLUE IS YOUR FRIEND

Lay the two towels on top of each other and hot glue them together on 3 sides but leave the bottom open. If you choose to add tassels to the corners or edges, don’t forget to “sandwich” them in-between the two towels while glueing. You can then, hot glue some velcro inside the bottom to close the “pillow cover” you just created.

I just slipped these DIY covers over some throw pillows I already had so that I didn’t need to purchase any pillow inserts. This is cheaper and makes it easy to store your pillows. Instead of hot glueing the bottom together permanently, I hot glues some velcro along the bottom so I could slip the pillows out when Halloween was over. Just store away the covers instead of the entire pillow and they take up so much less space this way!

Super easy to do if you have a hot glue gun or even fabric glue would work. If you are like me and don’t know how to sew, these are quick and cheap to make for any occasion! You can use any fabric or towels to do this too.

I bought the tassel ribbon that I glued between the edges from Hobby Lobby. You can add any kind of extras that you’d like or leave them plain.
